Welcome to 7th Plymouth Scout Group
Our Scout group is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who give their time freely for the benefit of Scouting in Plymouth. We are committed to fulfilling the purpose of the Scout movement by promoting the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potential as individuals, responsible citizens, and members of their local, national, and international communities.
The 7th Plymouth was founded in 1912, making us the oldest running group in Plymouth. We were based at Blindman’s Wood in Plymouth for many years before recently relocating to St. Edwards Church in Eggbuckland. Despite the location change, we continue to run an active Scouting programme, and we are dedicated to allowing young people to grow and develop in a fun and supportive environment.
We aim to provide young people aged 6 to 14 opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, and develop their confidence and leadership abilities. We offer many exciting and challenging activities, including camping, hiking, and outdoor skills training.
Our group is proud to be a part of the wider Scouting community. We regularly participate in district and national events, such as jamborees and camps, where Scouts from different groups come together to learn new skills and make new friends.
Thank you for visiting our website, and we hope to see you soon at one of our meetings or events!
